The Last Rose of Summer is a brand new one-act musical inspired by Jane Austen’s life and her connection to Southampton. Join Jane, her family and the characters of her stories as she grapples with her ambition and society’s expectations of a Regency Lady. This exciting contemporary musical is a fresh look at one of the UK’s greatest writers.

An all-female creative team will bring this fantastic new piece to life including choreography from prestigious dance companies Birmingham Royal Ballet and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.

Featuring a cast of 50 talented local young people this production is one not to be missed. Part of the nationwide Austen 250 celebrations, marking the 250th year since Jane Austen was born in Hampshire.
