Layla is a designer working across live performance and film.

She studied BA Performance Design at Central St Martins. While studying, Layla trained on the National Theatre’s Young Technicians programme and work placements on The Visit (National Theatre) and The Doctor (Almeida), also freelancing at venues including VAULTS, the Yard, and the Bunker.

Since graduating in 2021, Layla has been working in the art department for BBC Studios. She is currently an Art Director for medical drama Casualty.

She is Associate Designer for Dorsetborn and was a Creative Associate at Jermyn Street Theatre (2020-21 cohort).

Layla is known for her reliability, organisation, and an eye for imaginative detail. A willing an open collabrator, she loves to explore new mediums and new stories.
